How does therapy help?
Therapy helps to remove the blocks that prevent the innate healing from occurring. Therapy provides support, different perspectives, and other alternatives that hadn't been considered. My goal is to help you remove blocks that hinder your ability to create the life you want.
Successful therapy helps to solve life's problems by a combination of therapeutic techniques, and the safe, supportive relationship with the therapist provides an opportunity to try out new relational skills. Therapy can help you discover more about your authentic self and provide a place to practice letting more of yourself engage with others. This can lead to experiencing a more vital and fulfilling life.
EMDR, Neurofeedback, CBT
Depending on your unique needs, there are a variety of different therapeutic techniques you will find helpful. You and I will decide together which method to use. For example, EMDR is often quite effective with trauma. Neurofeedback is helpful for improving overall brain functioning and to help with targeted problematic symptoms. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help break out of self-defeating habits. If you are trying to make a change to long standing habits, Psychodynamic Therapy is often quite helpful. It helps to remember that many of the difficulties we experience actually make sense given what has happened to us in our past.

My approach is collaborative, tailored to your specific needs and goals. I can gently help clients to move out of their comfort zone and risk the change required for growth. I encourage you to expand and take manageable steps to reach your goals.
